Meghan Markle Shares Candle Ritual at Montecito Home
Meghan Markle has described how she prepares her Montecito home for visitors as she continues promoting new releases from her As Ever lifestyle brand. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, who lives in California with Prince Harry and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, shared the details in a new Instagram post alongside a fresh photograph.
In her latest update, Hello Magazine reported that Meghan said she “sets the mood” by lighting candles before guests arrive so the “room already feels warm when everyone walks through the door”. She added that she places candles “at different heights” and keeps the scent “subtle” so it blends into the room.
The post also doubled as an advert for As Ever’s newest products, with Meghan highlighting signature candles and matchboxes. According to the report, two candles and a box of matches are priced at $128, while individual candles retail for $64, including two varieties inspired by her children.
The new product push comes amid ongoing interest in the Duchess’s lifestyle venture, following earlier criticism of the brand’s homeware positioning, including when a clip of Meghan apparently mocking expensive candles resurfaced online.
Meghan and Prince Harry, who stepped back as working royals in 2020, have continued to build commercial projects in the US, with As Ever now expanding its range beyond fruit spreads. With Princess Lilibet’s birthday this week, the latest post also keeps the Sussexes’ family life and brand messaging closely aligned as new products roll out.
