Express Poll Says Readers Reject Meghan Reality TV Ban
Express.co.uk readers have voted overwhelmingly against the idea of banning Meghan Markle from reality television, following renewed scrutiny of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s screen projects after their reported Netflix setback.
Express.co.uk reported that, out of 2,684 votes in its poll, 2,553 readers answered “no” to a proposed reality TV ban for Meghan, while 102 voted “yes” and 29 said they were unsure.
The article said the couple’s five-year deal with Netflix had ended, and cited poor audience response for recent releases, including an IMDb rating of 3.2 out of 10 for Meghan’s lifestyle show and three stars for Prince Harry’s polo documentary.
It also noted that, away from television, the Duchess of Sussex has been focusing on her lifestyle brand As Ever and recently released an anniversary candle to mark eight years of marriage, an update that follows Britpop News reporting on Meghan Markle anniversary posts that sparked rebrand talk.
The poll result underlines how polarising the Duchess remains online, while suggesting a large share of respondents do not support the idea of restricting her future TV work despite criticism of the Sussexes’ recent projects.
