British actress Charlotte Kirk recently stated she is auditioning for a ‘deadly, brilliant, and complicated’ role in the new James Bond movie. Kirk, 30, told Los Angeles Magazine she could not comment on the potential part, adding:
”If I told you, I would have to kill you.”
But the London-based actress has made no secret of her wish to follow in the footsteps of Ursula Andress, Grace Jones and Halle Berry. The last actress to star alongside Daniel Craig, in his final film as Bond, was Lea Seydoux, who played Madeleine Swann.
Richard Madden recently dropped some hints regarding James Bond. Since Craig’s departure, there has been much speculation of who will next take on the mantle of Britain’s most famous spy. Daniel Craig retired as 007 last year. It has been noted that the fans have been busy dream casting the role with actors of all types.
Many suggested that Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, and Tom Hiddleston be among the several actors to play the role. It has been further noted that the favorites to bag the role include LGBTQ actors like Bridgerton’s Jonathan Bailey, singer Sam Smith, and Thor’s Tessa Thompson. However, popular actor Idris Elba is not willing to grab the role of James Bond.
”I can confirm that Charlotte would certainly accept a role in Bond,”her spokesman told The Mirror in April.
”With Charlotte’s award-winning roles, infamous curves and sliver screen good looks it is natural she would position as a favorite for Bond.”
”Charlotte is currently the number one action female on the movie scene – her latest film The Lair made it to Number One in the US Box Office for action fiction thriller.”
It has been noted that Bond producers are yet to confirm who will be taking the role after Daniel Craig.
