Zayn Malik labelled ‘jealous’ after on-stage quip about Harry Styles ticket prices
Zayn Malik has been accused of taking a “cheap shot” at former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles after making a remark about concert ticket costs during his Las Vegas residency. The singer, 33, appeared to reference the backlash over Styles’ prices as he addressed the audience mid-show.
In a report about the exchange, Page Six quoted a music industry official who claimed Malik was “jealous” and alleged he had previously tried to charge higher prices for his own residency tickets before lowering them, with some seats said to have dropped to “as cheap as $20”.
The insider also argued that demand for Malik’s shows was “just not there” and said it was “unfair” for him to criticise ticketing when other major artists are doing the same. Representatives for both Malik and Styles were said not to be immediately available for comment.
Malik and Styles were part of One Direction alongside Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and the late Liam Payne, who died in 2024. The group formed on ITV’s The X Factor in 2010, with Malik leaving in 2015 before the band later went on hiatus in 2016.
During his Las Vegas performance, Malik thanked fans for attending and then joked: “Hopefully, the ticket prices weren’t too high,” adding “Just saying” with a smirk, according to the report. Styles is scheduled to tour from May to December 2026, with prices for some London dates reported elsewhere to range widely, fuelling online criticism.
