Travis Kelce says he really doesn’t like looking back at his time on the reality dating show Catching Kelce. Almost ten years after the show aired, he joked that he would rather get a Brazilian wax than be forced to watch the series over and over again for the rest of his life. He shared this on the December 31 episode of the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce.
“I’d rather get Brazilian waxed. Are you kidding me?” he told the former Philadelphia Eagles center, adding that he’d even welcome the hair removal in all of his private areas. “Yeah, I’d rather just get my gooch waxed.”
Travis explained that the show, which aired in 2016, was a mistake in his eyes. At the time, he didn’t fully understand what reality TV was like or how long the footage would stay online. While he had some fun filming the show, he later realized that people would always be able to watch it, which made him uncomfortable. He admitted he said no to doing the show several times before finally agreeing.
Even though he regrets the experience, Travis said his teammates teasing him about it later became part of locker room humor, which he was able to laugh about.
While Catching Kelce didn’t lead to lasting love, Travis eventually found it elsewhere. His relationship with Taylor Swift began in 2023 and grew steadily. The couple went public later that year, spent time supporting each other’s careers, and shared many big moments together. In August 2025, Travis and Taylor announced their engagement, marking a new chapter in his life far removed from reality TV.
