Travis Kelce Linked to Elizabeth Taylor Opals
Taylor Swift has been pictured wearing a set of opal jewellery once owned by Elizabeth Taylor, with an estate jeweller suggesting the suite was bought during the Christmas period by a sports agent and may have been purchased for the singer by her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce.
The suite, which includes a ring, two bracelets and chandelier earrings, was sold by Christie’s in 2011 for $6,000 and later resold via 1stDibs in 2025 for $125,000, with jeweller Adam Fox saying the buyer was a sports agent and that the purchase happened “during Christmas time”, Page Six Style reported.
Fox said the sale struck him as unusual because high-value pieces often prompt questions or negotiations, but this “randomly sold”, and he only connected the purchase to Swift after seeing the full suite pictured on her. He added that he had to “assume” it could be linked to Kelce because the buyer was a sports agent, though he said he could not confirm who ultimately made the purchase.
Swift has been seen wearing individual pieces from the collection in recent weeks, including during an outing in New York in April and in a New York Times Magazine interview, and she was then photographed in Brooklyn wearing the complete set. The opal connection also aligns with Kelce’s birthstone and Swift’s long-stated fondness for the gem.
The appearance adds to the couple’s high-profile New York sightings, after the pair were recently photographed showing affection during a date night in the city, as Swift continues to be closely watched for style choices linked to her reported engagement.
Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly commented on the jewellery’s purchase, and Page Six said Fox described it as “very cool” to see the pieces on one of the world’s most famous performers.
