Travis Kelce is turning to Taylor Swift’s music to help him move past the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The star tight end opened up about his emotions on his “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, revealing just how difficult the defeat was for him. Swift even skipped Kelce’s game following her after-party.
Jason asked Travis how he was dealing with the loss, and Travis responded by saying he listens to music that reflects his emotions. Unsurprisingly, his go-to artist is his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. He explained that her music has a song for every situation, making it the perfect soundtrack for his recovery. Jason agreed, acknowledging Swift’s talent for capturing emotions in her songs.
Travis admitted that the Eagles’ victory hit him hard, saying, “They broke my heart.” He was especially disappointed with his own performance on February 9, noting that he was still frustrated over small mistakes he made on the field. He previously mentioned on the podcast that he was “kicking himself” over certain decisions and that the loss was a tough one to accept.
Despite the setback, it doesn’t look like Travis plans to end his career on a low note. According to Chiefs GM Brett Veach, the team fully expects him to return for the 2025 season. For now, he’s relying on Taylor’s music to get through this tough time, proving once again how strong their connection is.
