Arctic Monkeys have kicked off their 2023 ‘The Car’ European tour giving fans some pivotal moments and lots of smiles as well as some sing-alongs to set the mood. Here, we’ll break down the top five moments of this kickoff so far.
As reported by NME, The first noteworthy moment is when they played ‘Brianstorm,’ a classic track by the band which really echoes just what set them up for an amazing career. This wasn’t the only song that took fans by surprise though as the band made sure to make a huge musical statement for this event.
The next moment was when the band shocked fans by performing ‘Suck It And See’ live for the first time since 2014. Not only has it been almost ten years since the band has played this live, but they never lost their step with this track. It truly sounded incredible and the energy was there for this.
When we get to where we would put the third most important moment of the show, I’d have to say the band just kept the surprising coming, giving ‘Perfect Sense’ from ‘The Car’ its live debut. They then played ‘Star Treatment’ live for the first time on their current tour in support of ‘The Car’.
In the fourth spot we have another banger from 2014 tours as the gave us ‘Fluorescent Adolescent’ from 2007’s ‘Favourite Worst Nightmare‘ and this would be the first time they played this since 2014 as well. The entire night was so full of all of these classics that could make one think about how great the band really is.
For the final moment which encapsulated us all, it has to go to a trio of encore tracks – ‘There’d Better Be A Mirrorball’, ‘I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor’ and ‘R U Mine?’. Give a listen below to ‘R U Mine?’ as the energy was on fire during it.
