Thom Yorke is three shows into his solo Everything tour, and he’s been surprising fans by playing songs from his solo work, side projects, and Radiohead that they haven’t heard in years. On Saturday night in Auckland, New Zealand, he performed Radiohead’s “Sail to the Moon” for the first time in over 16 years. We have also revealed Radiohead’s most energetic songs.
This was the first time Yorke played this popular song live since a Radiohead concert in May 2008. It was also the first time he did it solo since 2002, when he performed it at a couple of benefit concerts.
Earlier in the tour, Yorke played “Packt Like Sardines in Crushd Tin Box,” the opening track from Hail to the Thief, for the first time in 12 years. He will also have a special show called Hamlet Hail to the Thief in June 2025.
Yorke’s Everything tour features a variety of songs from his work, including the first live performance of “Hearing Damage” from the Twilight: New Moon soundtrack and a new song called “Back in the Game.”
He has also played solo versions of Radiohead songs for the first time. At Friday’s concert, he performed “Kid A” and “All I Need” solo, and on Saturday, he played “Jigsaw Falling Into Place” from In Rainbows for the first time in an acoustic version.
The Everything Tour will continue through November, with more shows planned in Singapore and Japan after the New Zealand and Australia dates.
