The Eras Tour might be over. However, it doesn’t mean Taylor Swift is done performing. Chinese authorities disclosed that they recently held “preliminary talks” with the pop star’s team over the possibility of her performing in Shanghai, according to Reuters.
Zhang Qi, deputy director of Shanghai’s culture and tourism bureau, stated that they’re “optimistic that [there] may be hope this year.”
“As for whether it can take place in the end, we feel that it will have to depend on the market and the attractiveness of the city of Shanghai,” he said.
Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour ended on December 8th. While the singer performed in Singapore and Japan, she did not stop in China.
Taylor Swift is celebrating becoming a billionaire by expanding her $17.75 million Rhode Island mansion. Contractors are planning on building an addition onto the pop star’s oceanfront home in Westerly’s Watch Hill neighborhood, according to a building permit obtained by the Providence Journal Tuesday.
