Casa Cipriani Told Guests to Hide Phones for Swift
Ms Taylor Swift and Mr Travis Kelce were reportedly met with strict privacy measures when they arrived at New York private club Casa Cipriani last week, after the venue faced a previous incident involving photographs of the singer.
Before the couple appeared, some guests on the terrace were instructed to put their phones away and were unable to use them to check email, with Page Six reporting a source said “no one knew why” until Swift and Kelce arrived with friends.
The report said the pair did not remain on the terrace because a canopy was leaking, and they moved inside to spend time in the venue’s jazz club instead. Page Six described the measures as a response to a 2023 episode in which the club allegedly revoked membership cards for at least three members after pictures emerged of Swift on a date there with then-boyfriend Mr Matty Healy.
While the couple have kept many details of their relationship private, the latest account of a controlled arrival comes amid ongoing attention on their time in New York, including claims that Swift has sought to avoid wedding-planning pressure as speculation around their future continues.
The reported phone clampdown underlines the challenges of high-profile visits in member-only spaces, where venues can be quick to protect celebrity privacy after past breaches of house rules.
