Taylor Swift is reportedly distancing herself from her longtime friend Blake Lively due to Lively’s legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni. According to insiders, Swift has been unintentionally pulled into the situation.
Baldoni has alleged that Lively arranged a meeting at her home while Swift was present, trying to pressure him into agreeing with her demands. He even shared a screenshot in which Lively referred to her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and Swift as her “dragons,” comparing herself to Game of Thrones character Khaleesi.
With Swift seemingly stepping back from her friendship with Lively, her other close friends are reportedly competing to take the top spot in her inner circle. An insider told Radar Online that Swift’s squad is rallying around her.
Selena Gomez was quick to arrange a girls’ night with Swift, showing support while also reinforcing her own position as a close friend. Shortly after, Swift was spotted dining with Danielle and Alana Haim.
“All of Taylor’s friends have been reaching out to make plans—it’s just a matter of whether she accepts or not,” the source revealed.
In an effort to win favor, Swift has also been receiving extravagant gifts, including flowers, jewelry, and even clothes for her cats. “They’re being so obvious,” the source added, noting how eager her friends are to step into Lively’s place.
