Playing a villain in a movie is tough, but if you get the praise for it, it’s all worth it. The James Bond series, or the 007 series, has had some excellent villains. Auric Goldfinger, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and Le Chiffre are just some names from the franchise that are popular with the fans despite the gray shade in their character.
There’s a new actor who would want to play this role, and his name is Jamie Campbell Bower. We saw him in Stranger Things Season 4, where his work impressed everyone. The performer who started his acting career with The Twilight Saga: New Moon in 2009 has done some exceptional work in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
The work in Stranger Things confirms that he can play an excellent villain on-screen. A persona that can captivate audiences with his work is what makes a great villain. Jamie is 33 years old and can deliver stellar performances. His work as a villain on-screen would be exceptional for everyone involved. The performer has shown his shades in the work he has done, and Stranger Things tops the list. He recently appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz the actor got asked if he would be willing to work in Star Wars. Jamie responded:
“But I’m gonna be honest with you Josh, I’m gunning for James Bond. Not to play Bond, but to be a villain in Bond. And I remember before Rami did the film, I was like ‘I’m gonna be the first person under 30 to do it’ and then Rami comes along and just like kills it and I’m like, ‘Dammit, I wanted to do that.'”
Rami Malek played Lyutsifer Safin in No Time to Die, the final Bond film from Daniel Craig. If the franchise is looking for a new character as the villain, then there’s someone ready with his eyes on the prize.
