Sir Rod Stewart recently called out Gregg Wallace and labeled him a “tubby, bald-headed, ill-mannered bully” following allegations of historical misconduct against the TV presenter.
On November 28th, it was announced that Wallace would be stepping down from MasterChef while the allegations are investigated. The show’s production company Banijay UK stated that a series of complaints were made to the BBC this week by “individuals in relation to historical allegations of misconduct while working with Gregg Wallace on one of our shows”.
It comes after BBC News sent a letter to Wallace’s representatives earlier this week setting out allegations of inappropriate sexual comments by 13 people who worked with him across a range of shows over a 17-year period. Taking to Twitter/X, Rod Stewart wrote:

Rod Stewart recently opened up on playing Glastonbury 2025 and admitted that “it’s going to cost me a fortune to do it”.
The rock legend was announced to play the festival’s Legend Slot on November 26th, where he will perform on Sunday June 29th. He returns to Glasto after previously headlining in 2002 alongside Coldplay and Stereophonics.
Now, Stewart has opened up about the upcoming slot in an appearance on TALKSport on November 27th. Speaking about the festival performance, Stewart stated that he “immediately” knew he would accept the opportunity, adding: “It’s a great honour”
However, Stewart noted that “it’s going to cost me a fortune to do it – $300,0000 (£236,832).”
Explaining the huge financial cost, he further stated that: “I’ve got to bring all my band back from America, of course Glastonbury don’t pay for that.
“But I don’t care if it cost me $1million (£789,440), I would have done it,” he concluded. “This is a great honour. It really is the greatest honour.”
Glasto is known for not often paying artists as much as other major festivals might due to donating a large portion of money to charities. However, the exposure it provides and knock-on effects of that are usually much larger.
Stewart is the first act to be confirmed to play Glastonbury, with the singer recently saying of his slot: “I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing Glastonbury 2025!
“After all these years, I’m proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. I’ll see you there!”
