Ringo Starr was recently asked by Stephen Colbert on The Late Show about if he had to pick one song to listen to for the rest of his life, which one would it be? He picked a classic by The Beatles as a tribute to his late bandmate John Lennon. Paul McCartney Leaked A Bold Elvis Presley Secret.
“There’s lots of other favourites, but if you want one, ‘Come Together’ can’t be bad,” Starr said, adding that it was definitely his favorite Beatles song. “I just think it worked perfectly with the band and the song and John being John. I loved that moment.”
Starr also believed there is a Heaven and afterlife, and he will see Lennon and George Harrison again. “I think we go to heaven,” Starr said. “Heaven’s great, but you don’t stay there too long; you just gotta get yourself together again and come deal with all that [shit] you didn’t deal with last time you were here.”
He told The Daily News in 2019 why he continues to record and tour.
“I love to paint, I love to play music, I love to make records and I love to go on tour. I love life.”
