Princess Eugenie Ends King’s Foundation Mentor Role
Princess Eugenie’s mentoring role with The King’s Foundation has come to an end after the completion of a year-long initiative aimed at supporting young leaders across creative industries.
Hello Magazine reported that the princess was appointed in May 2025 as a mentor to the foundation’s “35 under 35” network, but the programme was limited to the organisation’s anniversary year and concluded naturally.
The publication said commentary about her being “quietly dropped” followed a column by Mr Ephraim Hardcastle in the Daily Mail, which claimed the position had “barely lasted a year” and cited an unnamed insider referring to a “deep shadow” cast by the “disgrace” surrounding her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. HELLO! said Princess Eugenie is still understood to be on good terms with King Charles and noted she previously praised the foundation’s work in areas important to the monarch.
Princess Eugenie is not a working royal and holds a full-time role at Hauser & Wirth, while also supporting charitable causes. The end of the mentoring role comes as she prepares for a personal milestone this summer, with her pregnancy having been covered previously when her third baby news prompted fresh focus on Prince Andrew’s standing.
HELLO! also recalled that Princess Eugenie made a significant appearance connected to the foundation last November during a mentoring session in London, where she spoke to participants about how art had influenced her career and said she looked forward to supporting their journeys into the future.
