Prince William Names Kamikaze as Favourite Drink
Prince William has shared an unusual detail about his taste in cocktails, revealing that a Kamikaze is among his preferred drinks. The Prince of Wales made the remark while speaking with his wife, Catherine, Princess of Wales, during an official visit that also offered a glimpse into the couple’s food and family routines.
During a 2023 visit to a family-run Indian restaurant in Birmingham, Express reported that Prince William said he often opts for a Kamikaze cocktail — a mix of equal parts vodka, triple sec and lime juice — which he described as “silent, but deadly”.
The comments came as the couple were asked about their favourite drinks during the engagement. Catherine also spoke about her own preferences, with the report noting she has previously mentioned enjoying tequila, as well as a glass of white wine or a gin and tonic.
The Birmingham outing also involved a cooking competition at the Bennetts Hill restaurant, and the couple spoke about family life with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis — including a fondness for Indian takeaway and trying curry houses around the country. The appearance followed other public moments in which the Wales family have shared small personal details during engagements, including reporting on Prince William’s Duchy of Cornwall income and related tax bill.
