Prince William Reportedly Furious Over Harry Return Push
Prince William has reportedly reacted angrily after King Charles urged him to set aside his feelings and work towards a reconciliation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, amid fresh claims the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could return to the UK this summer. The report says the King has decided to intervene after years of strained relations within the family.
Daily Jang reported that King Charles, 77, is said to be “pinning pressure” on the Prince of Wales to heal his rift with Prince Harry, with an unnamed source claiming William believes welcoming the Sussexes back “into the royal fold” would be “lunacy” and that the situation is “outrageous”.
The article said William is described as “furious” at being pressured, with the same source alleging he thinks his father is being “gullible” and that Prince Harry should not be given “another chance”. It also claimed some within the royal household believe a peace pact could help the monarchy’s reputation and that having Harry involved again in some capacity could “strengthen the institution”.
The report comes alongside ongoing coverage of William’s influence behind the scenes, including claims that Prince William has tightened his grip on royal decisions as the family navigates competing priorities and public scrutiny.
Buckingham Palace has not commented on the report, and neither Prince William nor the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have responded publicly to the claims about a potential reunion or return.
