Prince William ‘Devastated’ by Charles cancer fears
Prince William is said to be increasingly worried about King Charles’s health as the monarch continues a full working schedule while undergoing cancer treatment, amid renewed claims that the King has no intention of stepping down. The reports suggest the Prince of Wales is preparing privately for the possibility that his father’s condition could worsen, while keeping a focus on continuity at the heart of the monarchy.
StyleCaster reported that royal commentator Mr Robert Jobson believes the Palace “overemphasiz[ed] the ‘good news’” around King Charles’s health updates and that the King is “living with cancer” with no expectation of anything other than continuing to live with the disease.
The piece attributes further remarks to Mr Jobson, who said he has seen the King at public events where he appeared extremely tired, describing him as “almost falling asleep while standing up,” while also calling Charles courageous and committed to duty. It also repeats claims that Queen Camilla has urged the King to slow down but that he has resisted, and that William would be “devastated” if his father “took a turn for the worse” while remaining “pragmatic” about stability.
The reporting also claims William is taking a tougher stance on internal royal controversies, including the Duke of York’s status, echoing previous accounts that Prince William allegedly influenced Prince Andrew’s exile from frontline royal life.
Buckingham Palace has not provided new details on the King’s private medical prognosis beyond earlier announcements, but the latest claims underline how closely Charles’s diary and public appearances are being watched as he balances treatment with the demands of the Crown.
