Report claims Prince Harry would welcome Sandringham invitation from King Charles
Prince Harry would “love” an invitation from King Charles to visit Sandringham, according to a new report that says the Duke of Sussex wants to bring Meghan Markle and their children to spend time in England, but only if security arrangements are in place.
The Express reported that a source close to Prince Harry told The Times an invitation from the King would mean “a security package that automatically kicks in”, adding that a trip would depend on who else was present at Sandringham.
The report said the Sussexes’ security was downgraded after they stepped back from royal duties and moved to the United States six years ago. It also quoted an unnamed insider saying that if the King wanted to see Archie and Lilibet, he “needs to do” one thing: invite them to visit.
The latest claims follow continuing scrutiny of the Sussexes’ relationship with the Royal Family, after Prince Harry missed a recent opportunity to reunite with King Charles during a US visit amid separate commitments and scheduling pressures.
Buckingham Palace has not commented on the reported remarks. Any future meeting would be shaped by diaries, security planning and the wider arrangements around family visits to royal residences.
