Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have to adjust if their royal titles are taken away, but it likely would not bother Harry very much.
According to sources, Harry no longer cares about royal status or privileges. He feels finished with that part of his life and has moved on. Recently, he even used the name “Harry Wales” while attending a polo match in Aspen, Colorado. That was the name he used during his time in the British military. People close to him said he looked relaxed and genuinely happy, as if a huge burden had been lifted from him.
There has been speculation that Prince William could remove Harry and Meghan’s titles when he becomes king. However, insiders believe doing so could make William appear petty and unnecessary. Some also feel that the Sussex title no longer carries much public value.
Despite that, Meghan is still often introduced using her Duchess of Sussex title. Sources say she enjoys the royal recognition and continues to lean into it. Friends claim Meghan still values the prestige that comes with royal labels.
Harry, on the other hand, seems focused on living a simpler and more private life. Those close to him say he feels free for the first time in years and is no longer defined by royal expectations or traditions.
