Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party, which had a James Bond theme. The event was held at Jeff Bezos’ $165 million mansion in Beverly Hills. Both Harry and Meghan were dressed very elegantly for the large celebrity gathering.
Meghan smiled confidently as usual, while Harry looked less enthusiastic. Harry wore a black tuxedo with a red poppy pin, likely in honor of Remembrance Sunday. Meghan wore a black fitted outfit that showed off her figure.
Royal commentator Tom Bower said the invitation was likely a big deal for Meghan, who wants to be seen among A-list celebrities. He claimed Harry, however, struggled to hide his discomfort and didn’t seem happy to be there. Bower suggested Harry may feel stressed about how his brother, Prince William, could react to him and Meghan, especially given the recent public consequences faced by their uncle, Prince Andrew.
Bower also said Meghan has been pushing to get invited to more high-profile Hollywood events. According to him, she wants to gain attention and acceptance among top celebrities, and this party was a major opportunity for her.
The event itself also had some issues, neighbors complained about loud noise and police were called several times. Bruno Mars reportedly performed live, which contributed to the noise. Police first gave a warning, but later returned when large fake hedges were found blocking the road without a permit. The hedges were removed and the party continued.
