Prince Harry recently injured his hand while playing in Thursday’s St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship in Aspen, Colorado, as per Page Six. However, it was reported that the Duke of Sussex soldiered on.
A witness told the outlet that the Prince’s hand accidentally got “clipped” when a son of famed polo player Nacho Figueras was swinging his mallet.
“They paused for a second and he shook it off,” says the source.
The outlet noted “We’re told Prince Harry — who was referred to as Harry Wales by the announcer — stayed in the game, though his team was defeated.”
The royal had played on Wednesday as well, with a source telling us his participation was a complete surprise.
“No one knew he was coming,” says the source of the outlet.
Prince Harry is close friends with Figueras, who also played in the game along with his sons Artemo and Hilario. Harry and the polo star were even spotted skiing before the match.
Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle is not on the trip. After the first game, Figueras and his wife Delfina attended the annual Snow Polo Disco hosted by Zach Weiss at the Caviar Kaspia pop-up at the Snow Lodge.
While the royal was absent, the bash did draw Oscar winner Mikey Madison, Coleman Domingo, Phoebe Dynevor, and Sailor Brinkely Cook.
