Prince Andrew Rattled by Sandringham Security Breach
Prince Andrew was reportedly left shaken after a security incident at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk earlier this month, as he prepares to move into another property on the royal grounds.
IBTimes UK reported that four protesters allegedly arrived by car, shouted abuse and climbed a fence at Wood Farm while the Duke of York was inside, with the alleged breach said to have left him in a state of “absolute terror and rage”.
The report says Prince Andrew has been staying at Wood Farm while renovations continue at nearby Marsh Farm, after leaving Royal Lodge, and that the incident has intensified concerns around security provisions at his new home.
As the relocation continues, a royal source cited in the report said security measures were being strengthened at Marsh Farm and that installations had been taking place “nonstop”, with interiors largely in place including major furnishings and a fully fitted kitchen; the Duke is also said to have moved belongings such as paintings and books to Norfolk in stages. The move comes amid continued public scrutiny, following King Charles reportedly stripping Prince Andrew of final titles in previous developments covered by Britpop News.
