Prince Andrew ‘No Cats’ Rule at Marsh Farm
Prince Andrew has reportedly been told to follow a strict set of rules at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham estate, including an alleged ban on keeping cats. The claim is the latest report about the Duke of York’s living arrangements following his reported move from Royal Lodge.
Yahoo Entertainment reported that RadarOnline.com cited a source claiming Sandringham operates under “strict rules” and that one of the “clearest” is an outright prohibition on cats at the property.
The same report said the Duke can keep dogs and has brought seven with him, including the late Queen Elizabeth II’s corgis, Muick and Sandy. A source quoted by RadarOnline suggested the dogs have become “a constant presence” in his daily life, adding that while the “no cats” rule might seem minor, it was described as fixed with “no flexibility”.
The report also included claims about tighter control of the Duke’s movements, amid suggestions the King wants to reduce the risk of ongoing media attention. It comes after previous coverage of the Duke’s changing status and housing situation, including reports that he was labelled “entitled” after his Royal Lodge exit.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for the Duke have publicly commented on the specific allegations in the report. The claims originate from unnamed sources quoted by RadarOnline, and the exact rules in place at Marsh Farm have not been independently confirmed.
