Prince Andrew Reportedly Blocked From Bringing Cats to Sandringham
Prince Andrew is said to have been unable to take his two cats with him after relocating to a property on the Sandringham estate, with a reported blanket ban on cats in place to protect local wildlife. The claim adds a fresh detail to ongoing reporting about the Duke of York’s living arrangements following his move from Royal Lodge.
Yahoo Entertainment reported that Andrew was permitted to bring seven dogs and 72 teddy bears to his new home, but that the Sandringham estate operates strict rules that include an outright prohibition on cats because of concerns about birds on the grounds.
The report, which credits National Examiner, also claims Andrew has two cats, both named Pencil. It said a source alleged the move to Sandringham followed King Charles asking him to leave Royal Lodge, and that Andrew later brought in a trailer home to create more space.
