Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reunited on stage for an unforgettable night during the last show of McCartney’s “Got Back” tour at the O2 Arena in London. Fans were thrilled when Starr made a surprise appearance, joining his former Beatles bandmate. Paul McCartney also recently shared his last photos with Quincy Jones.
McCartney introduced Starr by saying, “The one and only Mr. Ringo Starr!” The crowd cheered loudly as Starr walked on stage and hugged McCartney. Starr, 84, greeted the audience, saying, “I’ve had a great night tonight,” while McCartney, 82, smiled and asked, “Shall we rock?”
The two legends then performed two famous Beatles songs: “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Helter Skelter.” The audience loved seeing the pair back together, and the performances were full of energy and joy.
After the songs, Starr thanked the crowd and McCartney, saying, “I’ve had a great night and I love you all. Thanks to this man,” showing his appreciation for their friendship.
The surprises didn’t stop there. Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones joined McCartney on stage to play “Get Back.” The two shared a hug before Wood left, with McCartney calling out, “Thank you, Ronald!”
Starr has often spoken about his bond with McCartney. In a 2023 interview, he said, “Paul called me the other day… We’re close friends, like brothers. As an only child, it was amazing to suddenly have three brothers I could love and rely on.”
The night was a special moment for fans, celebrating the music and friendship of two Beatles legends, leaving everyone with memories of a historic performance.
