Stress, anxiety and depression can take a toll on us, especially if we lose someone close to us. Stella McCartney faced it during her teenage years when she lost her mother. It came to light that she had rosacea due to the stress she took after her mother’s passing. Her parents met in 1967 when McCartney’s father was a part of The Beatles. McCartney revealed this information while speaking to The Sunday Times’ Style.
Stella opened up about her approach toward people with skin conditions until that age and never understood or had any empathy for people with these conditions until it happened to her. She turned to medicine, but as that would have been a long process, she turned to meditation to stay calm. The journey helped her come out of the situation, and she felt better in a quick time.
McCartney even admitted that her mother was never into makeup. If she ever applied anything, it would be homemade. Stella recalls that her mother gave her Clarins cleanser at age 13 and asked her to use it on the skin. It is the only memory that she has of her mother. Stella’s condition is not terrifying because, according to NHS, one in every ten people in the UK suffers from it. The cause of this situation is unknown, but emotional stress can cause an outburst. It can also lead to redness, burning sensation and dryness.
The mother of four, Stella, informed the magazine that her mother was a photographer and an animal rights activist and introduced her to skincare. According to Stella, her mother liked to live a simple life without the pomp and show.
