Olivia Rodrigo Dismisses Taylor Swift Feud Rumours
Ms. Olivia Rodrigo has addressed years of online speculation about a rift with Ms. Taylor Swift, saying she does not pay close attention to internet theories about her relationships. The comments came in a newly released interview as the 23-year-old pop star reflected on the attention that follows her career.
In remarks highlighted by Page Six, Rodrigo said she does not “read that far into” speculation, adding that if she tried to follow every “internet detective sleuth” she would “go crazy” because there is not enough time in the day.
The report revisited how Swift publicly supported Rodrigo early in her breakthrough year, including praising the success of “Driver’s License,” and noted that Rodrigo previously described Swift as an inspiration. Page Six also outlined how fans later linked supposed tension to songwriting credits on Rodrigo’s track “Dejà Vu,” following the singer’s comments about taking inspiration from Swift’s “Cruel Summer.”
Rodrigo has previously pushed back on fan theories around her songwriting, and the latest comments follow earlier speculation that she had snubbed Swift at a cafe, claims that circulated widely online without confirmation.
While the two artists have not publicly discussed a personal fallout, Rodrigo’s latest remarks underline her reluctance to engage with rumours and her preference to keep her private relationships out of the spotlight.
