There have been rumors that Oasis could release a new album soon and reports emerged that as many as six new songs were recorded before the tour announcement. This has sparked speculation that fresh music could be on the way for fans of the legendary Britpop band.
‘Slow’ was an unreleased OASIS song.
Noel Gallagher has paused his project High Flying Birds, feeling that “something was missing.” As a result, some fans speculate that these new tracks might not be intended for solo work but could instead be songs meant to be released under the Oasis name.
Earlier this year, Noel suggested that his upcoming stadium-rock album was on hold due to the absence of key elements. Some fans believe that these six songs might come from an acoustic album he was developing for his solo project, NGHFB, which he set aside once rumors of an Oasis reunion began to surface.
If these songs were initially meant for his solo work, there’s a good chance they could be transformed into full Oasis tracks, especially now that the reunion has been confirmed.
Liam Gallagher, always active on social media, has been playfully stoking fans’ hopes for new Oasis material. When asked about new songs in one of his Twitter Q&A sessions, Liam hinted he would be “more than happy” to make new music with his older brother, Noel, back under the Oasis banner. However, he added that it would likely be up to Noel, the band’s primary songwriter, to take the lead in bringing any new material to life.
