Former Oasis rockers Noel and Liam Gallagher could be set for a reunion sooner than expected. Liam Gallagher recently stated that he doesn’t have a way to contact his estranged sibling after Noel’s latest comments.
Meanwhile, his brother Noel Gallagher recently talked about the prospect of an Oasis reunion in the future. The beef between the Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel Gallagher is no secret. The split of Oasis certainly shocked the fans back in the day. In 2009, the band parted ways immediately following a backstage tiff in Paris.
Tension had been brewing in the time building up to their scheduled performance at Rock en Seine festival. The weekend prior, Oasis pulled out of headlining V Festival because Liam Gallagher was suffering from laryngitis, and rumors floated about their tumultuous relationship. It was also recently noted that Liam Gallagher has teased starting a new band with his brother Noel Gallagher and his son. The former Oasis frontman is being encouraged to reach out to his estranged sibling and former bandmate after a recent interview Noel gave in which claimed he knew how to contact him.
Oasis could have a reunion soon
The Sun reported that “the pair have floated the idea of going to see their beloved Manchester City play a match or, failing that, meeting for a walk in a North London park near their homes.”
A source of the outlet said:
“Noel and Liam are in contact behind closed doors.
“They are tentatively taking steps to meet up and rebuild their relationship.
“There’s a lot of lost time to make up for and both have missed out on ups and downs in each other’s lives. They need to patch up their brotherly bond before they even think about getting back in the studio for an Oasis reunion, but the wheels are in motion. Liam’s relationship with Noel’s wife was a huge obstacle to them reforming, but that’s no longer an issue. Their family are encouraging them too.
“The brothers are floating the idea of a Man City game or going for a low-key walk in the park.
“All of the speculation from fans is great as it ups the ante, they don’t mind it.”
