Noel Gallagher, the legendary songwriter and former Oasis guitarist, has refused to join the Dry January trend, which has become a popular trend among middle-aged women. In a recent interview with Dave Berry on the Absolute Radio Breakfast Show, Noel stated that life is short, and he plans to live it to the fullest until his doctor tells him to stop.
The 55-year-old singer is known for his love of partying. He said that he’s never abstained from alcohol and doesn’t plan to start drinking now. He believes that Dry January is for middle-aged women, and life is too fleeting to spend it without having a good time. Even though his back is giving him some trouble, Noel says he’s still functioning perfectly as a human being and that going out and being sociable with friends is a big part of life.
Noel Gallagher, along with his estranged brother and former bandmate Liam, were among the biggest party-goers of the 1990s. Despite his love of a good time, Noel has been grateful for the support of his friends and loved ones, who have prevented him from going off the rails, unlike Amy Winehouse, who died from alcohol poisoning in 2011. In a recent interview, Noel said that fame can hit people really hard, and the late Amy Winehouse, who became a world superstar after her album “Back to Black,” was an example of that. Sadly, she didn’t have the right people around her, and fame hit her like a truck.
In contrast, Noel has been surrounded by the same people for the past 30 years, who have always looked after him. He says he doesn’t have a transient organization where there’s a constant change of people every six months. He believes that if you’re a successful and grown man, with money, no one is going to tell you what to do.
Noel’s brother Liam Gallagher also recently reacted to the Grammys, saying he was ‘gutted’ he didn’t get a nomination.
