Noel Gallagher appears to have let slip when his new album is likely to be released. Gallagher recently returned with a brand new song ‘Pretty Boy’ that features former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.
In an interview with an Italian radio station (via Contactmusic), he revealed when his new album will be out after discussing his football team Manchester City’s form in the current Premier League season.
“The team is doing good, we’re having a good season. Hopefully we will be in Istanbul [for the Champions League final] around when my new album is out next May, so that would be good,” he said.
“I can’t say what the album is called yet, though.”
The original hand-written lyrics of Wonderwall by Oasis star Noel Gallagher has garnered £46,875 at auction after it went under the hammer on Friday. Propstore’s auction is taking place at the Bafta headquarters in Piccadilly, London, that started on November 3 and will run until November 6.
Noel Gallagher handwritten lyrics racks massive amount
The written lyrics of their hit ballad was likely to be the most popular amongst the other pieces of handwritten lyrics from the Manchester rock band being sold. This included Champagne Supernova, the final track on the band’s second album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?
The page with the penciled hit song is believed to have been written to help Gallagher during band rehearsals. It has been also noted that more than 1,500 lots, including some 500 music items, were being sold during Propstore’s auction until November 6.
