The Struts may be back on top with their newest EP – Unplugged at EastWest. Many fans of the band akin the new venture to many iconic and classic MTV Unplugged sessions, which truly does so a lot about the Derby rockers.
The album is the length of just four songs, but it has captured the ears of many fans new and old. The EP was recorded at the EastWest studio facility on West Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Taylor guitars also helped with the project. Taylor guitars are a very famous brand who make some of the best acoustic guitars on the market today, with many of their pieces being very sought after by collectors.
The EP features two original tracks with the recently released single Fallin’ With Me and the unreleased TikTok favorite track, Pretty Vicious. TikTok has been pulling down many songs off of the platform, so it’s tough to say how this one will hold up in the long run.
What may be most intriguing about the album is that there is a cover of Michael Jackson’s Stranger In Moscow, a very underrated Michael Jackson track. British fans of the group may also rejoice as there is a cover of Supersonic, which was made famous by none other than Oasis.
Struts frontman, Luke Spiller said: “We loved teaming up with Taylor Guitars to play this intimate, unplugged set at the legendary EastWest Studios in LA. Not only did we get to play a few new originals, but myself and Adam both chose a special cover that embodies our individual introductions to music.”
