Oasis will be stepping away again following their reunion tour, though it’s unclear for how long. The band issued a statement reflecting on the impact of their comeback, noting how their music reached a new generation and connected fans across the world from venues like Gallagher Hill and Croke Park to shows in Los Angeles and Argentina.
They described the tour as filled with emotion, joy, and unforgettable moments. Oasis said they will now be taking a break to reflect, marking a pause after their return.
‘The most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history’ found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation. From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten.
There will now be a pause for a period of reflection.”
According to Far Out Magazine, Liam Gallagher had hinted on stage that something might be happening next year, but later clarified online that nothing is confirmed yet. He said the band needs time to talk and decide what comes next, adding that if it were solely his choice, Oasis would be touring endlessly.
The reunion has received praise from major names in music, including Paul McCartney, Johnny Marr, Jon Bon Jovi, and even Blur’s Damon Albarn, who once competed with Oasis during the Britpop era. Oasis also played some shows without longtime guitarist Bonehead, but he returned for the final stop in São Paulo, where the band dedicated “Live Forever” to late Stone Roses member Mani.
For now, the group is stepping back to reflect, leaving the future open but uncertain. Fans will have to wait to see whether Oasis will continue beyond the reunion tour.
