Lovers of Brit Pop and drama rejoice as we have something huge to look forward to. We will be seeing, on March 12th, a new four-part docu-series, titled Britpop: The Music That Changed Britain will be shown on Channel 5.
As reported by Louder Sound – In the new show, we will be taken through the rise and fall of the genre all while seeing all of the feuds that came along with it. Of course, the very first episode will feature all of the names that we know and love. We will see bands including: Blur, Oasis, Suede and Elastica.
The debut show will go through the drama and the many rivalries that took place between the aforementioned artists. Also, we will have some exclusive interviews as well with Alex James and Dave Rowntree of Blur.
Also, there will be a host of rare archive interview footage from the early years of Liam and Noel Gallagher’s career as part of Oasis, and a recounting of the moment Creation Records boss Alan McGee discovered them.
A lot of the show will focus on the Gallagher brothers as well in general. Neither brother has said anything as of yet about the show, but we expect some tweets to come out from one of the brothers as the show starts to gain traction on the first day of airing.
Surely, this will be a very interesting piece to watch.
