The mere mention of an Oasis reunion has sparked excitement and speculation among fans for years. Despite the well-known animosity between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, there have been glimmers of hope as both have expressed interest in the idea. However, the long-awaited reunion has yet to materialize, and according to Noel, it all boils down to one simple thing – a phone call from Liam.
During a recent interview with the talkSPORT radio show White & Jordan, Noel Gallagher was met with laughter when questioned about the possibility of an Oasis reunion. With a touch of humor, he responded by emphasizing that the ball is in Liam’s court and he is patiently waiting for his brother to reach out and have a conversation about it.
As transcribed by Uproxx, Noel Gallagher stated: “Well, I put it out there. He won’t call… I mean, he should call me, because he’s like, he’s forever going on about it. You’d have thought by now, he’d have some kind of plan. You know, he should… if he’s got a plan, he should get someone to… He doesn’t have to speak to me. He won’t speak to me, he’s a coward. So he should get some of his people, his agent, to call my people and say, ‘Look, this is what we’re thinking.’ And then we’ll have a conversation about it. Until then, he’s being a little bit disingenuous.”
This also comes after Noel stated that there is no chance at all for an Oasis reunion as he does not want to be anywhere near his brother, so this leads us to wonder, if Liam did call Noel, would it matter anyways?
Judging by what Noel said last time, he wouldn’t even pick up the phone most likely if his brother did phone him for the possibility of an Oasis reunion. It seems like both brothers are playing both sides heavily to ensure nothing happens.
