Noel Gallagher is at it again by making so many mad as he has misgendered Sam Smith and called them a “f*cking idiot” in a rant on a Dutch radio station.
It’s safe to say that no one was not expecting Noel to eventually go off on somebody, and sadly, it had to be Sam Smith. They just so happened to be in the line of fire.
As reported by NME – Smith announced in September of 2019 that they identify as non-binary, using “they/them” pronouns. Noel Gallagher did not get this memo as Noel took fire extremely harshly at them.
Speaking on the Kink radio station, Gallagher mused on the state of modern pop music, saying: “Music has become quite fractured and chart music is dominated by pop. Pop music is alright if the pop stars are cool. Sadly the stars of today are fucking idiots.”
Pushed on who he believes is an ‘uncool’ pop star of the moment, Noel replied: “Sam Smith. Look at him!”
This is where things got rough as Noel did misgender Sam Smith. Last week, Smith corrected Alex Jones on The One Show after she misgendered the singer when discussing their dreams of being a “fisherthem”.
On the show, Sam said: “I do love fishing. I’d love to be a fisherthem.” Jones responded to ask if Smith meant something like a “fly fisherman”, to which the artist replied: “I’d be any type of fisherthem. One day I’d just like to end my days fishing.”
