Meghan Markle has rebranded her lifestyle brand, renaming it from American Riviera Orchard to As Ever. Some see this as a desperate move to stay relevant in Hollywood, according to RadarOnline.
Ahead of her upcoming Netflix cooking show With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex announced the name change on Instagram, explaining that As Ever means “as it’s always been.” She also shared her love for cooking, crafting, and gardening, saying this brand reflects who she is.
Markle admitted that her old brand name limited her to products from Santa Barbara, which is why she changed it. She also revealed that she had secured the As Ever trademark back in 2022.
Meghan originally announced American Riviera Orchard in March 2024, but she faced legal troubles when the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office denied her application in September. A month later, the food and gift company Harry & David filed a complaint, arguing that her brand name was too similar to its Royal Riviera line.
Despite these setbacks, Meghan appeared upbeat in her Instagram video, promoting her brand and Netflix show.
A source told RadarOnline that Meghan’s rebrand is seen as an attempt to distract from these challenges. “Having to change the name is embarrassing and makes her look unprepared,” they said. “People close to her worry that, despite her enthusiasm, the stress is getting to her.”
To boost her image, Meghan has been more active on social media, sharing personal moments—including a picture of her daughter, Lilibet, running on the lawn. She also posted a Valentine’s Day tribute to Prince Harry.
“She’s trying to be more relatable,” the source added. “She knows people are curious about her life and kids, so she’s giving them a glimpse to stay in the spotlight.”
