Meghan Markle recently dressed for the occasion as she attended game four of the World Series alongside husband Prince Harry on October 28th, wearing not only a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap, but also a blue and white color palette, which are the team’s colors via In Style.
What many may have missed on Tuesday night was one of the two pendants hanging around the Duchess of Sussex’s neck. In addition to her Logan Hollowell pendant, she wore a pendant from The Gold Album that holds a deeply personal significance and serves as a tribute to her close friend, Kelly McKee Zajfen.
Observant fans have noted that Meghan has worn this pendant several times, including back in February when she launched her lifestyle brand, As Ever. During that event, she also donned a crisp white button-down shirt and jeans. The California-based brand’s $3,200 Red Heart of Gold Pendant was created in collaboration with McKee Zajfen, and 15% of the sales from this necklace go to benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Meghan made a surprise red carpet appearance one year ago at the CHLA 2024 Gala; McKee Zajfen is an ambassador for CHLA, and the “G” and the “L” on the necklace stand for the first initials of her two children: 9-year-old George, who passed away in 2022, and his twin sister Lily, who receives treatment for a heart condition at CHLA. It’s unclear what, if any, personalization Meghan’s specific necklace has.
After attending the CHLA Gala together, McKee Zajfen wrote on Instagram that she was “beyond grateful to share in this beautiful evening with one of my closest friends,” writing of Meghan, “I’m so grateful to have you by my side.”
In a separate Instagram post, McKee Zajfen said of the Duchess of Sussex and their mutual friend Abigail Spencer, “When we speak about the people in our lives who lift us up when you need it with undeniable force of pure love, I think of these two. You inspire me. You pick me up when I need it.”
Of Meghan specifically, McKee Zajfen wrote, “I am truly in awe of you,” adding that the As Ever founder is “always the first to say yes and support those you love. You are a fierce advocate for those who are in need.”
