Meghan Markle Linked to Big-Budget Suits Movie Deal
Meghan Markle has been linked to a potential return to acting, with a report claiming studio executives are exploring a big-screen version of Suits that would reunite the original cast and put the Duchess of Sussex back in her former role as Rachel Zane.
Studio chiefs want Meghan to join a proposed Suits film and are said to be considering a multi-million-dollar offer that also includes a co-executive producer position with a share of worldwide box office profits, Express reported.
The report says the show’s creator, Mr Aaron Korsh, is in “advanced talks” with senior executives at Universal Pictures about the project and has publicly teased the possibility of a film, saying it “could be fun”. It also claims several former co-stars including Mr Patrick J Adams, Mr Gabriel Macht, Mr Rick Hoffman, Ms Sarah Rafferty and Ms Gina Torres have been approached about a reunion, with only minor scheduling issues suggested.
The speculation follows recent attention on the Duchess’s professional options, including earlier Britpop News reporting that a Suits movie return has been discussed as a possible next step for the former actress.
No deal has been confirmed by the Duchess of Sussex or the studios involved, but the discussion has reignited interest in whether a high-profile Suits revival could become Meghan’s most significant on-screen project since she stepped away from the series in 2018.
