Meghan Markle is reportedly surprised and upset by Prince Harry’s idea that their children should go to school in the UK.
Harry and Meghan have lived in Montecito, California, for about five years, where their children, Prince Archie (6) and Princess Lilibet (4), currently attend local schools. However, sources say Harry now wants them to receive a British education, which he believes offers a higher standard and better opportunities.
According to reports, this has caused tension between the couple. Harry is said to strongly believe that UK schools would give Archie and Lilibet experiences similar to his own upbringing, including forming friendships like he did while attending Eton. He reportedly does not see this idea as leaving their life in the US behind.
Meghan, on the other hand, believes there are excellent schools in the United States and feels that homeschooling is also a good option, especially among wealthy families. Sources say she was shocked that Harry even raised the idea and feels it is far too early to make such decisions.
The situation has reportedly left Meghan feeling caught off guard, especially because she believes Harry may have considered this plan without fully discussing it with her first.
