Meghan Markle recently started her own Instagram account, @meghan, and posted her first video. However, fans noticed a small mistake in the 28-second clip.
In the video, filmed by her husband Prince Harry in Montecito, California, Meghan is seen running on the beach in a white outfit and writing “2025” in the sand. She smiles and runs off-camera. But some viewers pointed out that there was already another “2025” written nearby, showing it wasn’t her first try.
Despite this small mistake, Meghan’s return to social media has been successful. She gained over 750,000 followers within 21 hours, and her account got the blue verification tick. She also changed her profile picture to a black-and-white photo of herself smiling in a white dress.
Before this, Meghan had stopped using social media. She shared an account with Prince Harry called @sussexroyal, but they stopped using it in March 2020 after stepping down from royal duties. She also shut down her personal accounts in 2018 when she got engaged to Harry.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams says Meghan’s return to Instagram is part of her plan to improve her public image and promote her new business, a lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard.
Meghan’s social media comeback marks a new chapter in her career, as she connects with her followers and prepares to launch her brand.
