Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are once again searching for a new communications director following the departure of Emily Robinson, who left after about three months in the role. According to the Daily Mail, Robinson’s exit was her own decision, with a source saying that for someone as dedicated as her, conditions must have been quite difficult to prompt her resignation.
“It was her decision. She left a few weeks ago,” a source told the outlet of the L.A.-based public relations professional. “She’s not a quitter, so things must have been pretty horrible for her to go.”
Robinson, based in Los Angeles, had previously worked on Netflix’s The Crown and now serves as president of her own company, RobComms. Her firm specializes in strategic publicity and marketing services for brands, films, and TV campaigns.
A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told People that Robinson managed several key projects, including a successful season of With Love, Meghan, as well as other production support. They praised her work and said she completed her assignments successfully.
Since their 2018 wedding, about 22 staff members have reportedly left positions working for Meghan and Harry. The couple, who lead multiple media and charity ventures through Archewell, have faced ongoing challenges in maintaining a consistent team.
Despite frequent staffing changes, the Sussexes continue to pursue new media and humanitarian projects, showing they remain focused on expanding their global presence even as they rebuild their professional team.
