As if The Rock suggesting he wants to play the leading man isn’t bad enough hold on to your hats, because this one may really blow you away. According to reports, a secret audition may reveal that one of Marvel’s actors is inline to play the role of 007. This is utterly ridiculous news and may or may not be substantiated at this juncture. However, if this proves true, I think it’s safe to say that Bond will most certainly “Die Today”.
As per Yahoo News, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (not Dwayne Johnson) is reportedly the forerunner to fill Daniel Craig’s as the new James Bond. According to sources who spoke to The Sun (a British tabloid whose reports are a lot less than trustworthy) the Bullet Train and Avengers: Age of Ultron star (whom I have never heard of) had a secret audition at Pinewood Studios (in England), and “impressed” Barbara Broccoli—who runs the James Bond franchise.
“Aaron went for a screen test to be the next Bond in September and producers and Barbara loved him,” one source said. “He is now one of the front-runners.”
Speculation about who the next James Bond will be is at an all time high, with names such as aging actors Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, and James Norton.
Regé-Jean previously addressed Bond rumors, telling one of the most nefarious publications in the West, The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s got nothing to do with me—nothing to do with anything that has happened in any rooms or any meetings. It’s literally just a thing for people to talk about. So it’s flattering, but it’s just a game.”
There you have it. Who will it be? Who knows.
