Sabrina Carpenter just got a huge compliment from pop legend Madonna. After being revealed as the cover star for Vogue’s March 2025 issue, the Espresso singer received praise from Madonna, who took to Instagram to react to the striking photoshoot. Many fans noticed that the shoot, captured by Steven Meisel, looked similar to Madonna’s famous Vanity Fair spread from 1991.
“Is this a Valentine’s present to me?” Madonna commented under Vogue’s post, seemingly acknowledging the resemblance.
Carpenter posed in a satin cone bra corset mini dress by Dolce & Gabbana, a look reminiscent of Madonna’s iconic Jean Paul Gaultier cone bra from her Blond Ambition tour in 1990.
Other stars also showed love for the cover. Actress Lily Collins wrote, “Omg this is amazing,” while supermodel Heidi Klum added, “Wow.”
This isn’t the first time Carpenter has paid tribute to Madonna. At the 2024 MTV VMAs, she wore a white sequined Bob Mackie gown—previously worn by Madonna at the 1991 Academy Awards.
In her Vogue interview, Carpenter spoke about being inspired by strong, hyper-feminine women while working on her upcoming album, Short n’ Sweet.
With Madonna’s approval and a major Vogue cover, Carpenter’s star power in the pop world is only getting bigger.
