Noel Gallagher guitar will go under the hammer
The Gibson Les Paul Florentine guitar is just one of several iconic pieces of music history being put on sale at the Propstore Entertainment auction taking place in London from 3 to 6 November. Noel described the guitar as ‘the best in the world’ and was used plenty of times during 1997 and 1998 for recordings and live performances. It is one of his primary guitars from the Oasis era and is believed to be ‘the most extensively used and documented Noel Gallagher guitar outside of his personal collection’. It also comes with a white ‘Oasis’ stencil on the protective case.
It has been also noted that the 1995 song is likely to be the most popular amongst the other pieces of handwritten lyrics from the Manchester rock band being sold. This includes Champagne Supernova, the final track on the band’s second album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?.
It has also come to light that there are also other various instruments available in the London auction which is taking place online from Friday afternoon. One of Liam Gallagher’s iconic olive green parka coats, during a concert in Finsbury Park, London, on 29 June 2013, estimated to sell for around £15,000. The stand-out ‘Fake London Genius’ piece also has various cartoon imagery on it, cashmere patches sewn onto the jacket, including a trophy, a lion, a crown and a map of the UK.
