Nat Phillips is dating Liam Gallagher’s daughter, and while the two have different favourite teams, the duo shares a very dynamic bonding beyond the game. The ex-Liverpool member, and centre-half player of Celtic says that he and Liam Gallagher share a bond despite the fact that Liam Gallagher is from Manchester and supports Manchester City.
The Celtic loanee spoke to Herald and as shared by Mirror, Nat spoke highly of the Oasis Legend. He talked about how his association with a different team has not gotten in the way of his relationship with Liam Gallagher or his bond with the Legend’s daughter.
We’ve never really got into that. We have obviously met but only a few times. Every time I’ve met him, he’s been fine with me, which is ideal as a son-in-law.
Nat’s father, Jimmy, understands this feeling of rivalry after having played in the 1980’s for Rangers. Nat doesn’t compare his time with his father as he believes that it’s two different people playing at two different times, and the same sport.
He’s just excited for me. He’s had his career and now I have mine – and they are two separate things. My dad wants me to be playing games at a high level and that’s what I’ll hopefully be doing at Celtic. The only advice he gave me was to say he played for Rangers so I’d be asked about it! But there was no specific advice in terms of Glasgow itself.
Nat has had an exceptional time with Liam Gallagher, and we hope it remains this way as the duo carries a healthy relationship and there’s nothing that should diminish the spark in their bonding as the father-in-law and son-in-law.
Liam Gallagher is a legend, but when it comes to sport, especially Football, fans of the respective team find it difficult to cope up with members of the other team.
