Recently, Liam also stirred the pot by teasing the possibility of a new Oasis album being on the horizon. He has also stated that he was “seriously gutted” that so many of the band’s fans were unable to get tickets to the 2025 shows amid the chaos last weekend.
The announcement revealed a partial schedule for the upcoming concert tour, which is set to kick off on July 4th next year in Cardiff, Wales. The tour will include a series of shows in England, Scotland, and Ireland over the following two months.
The announcement did not specify the full lineup for the reunion shows but it did feature an image of the band’s lead singer, Liam Gallagher, alongside his older brother, Noel Gallagher, who is the lead guitarist and songwriter.
The concerts in the U.K. and Ireland are set to be Oasis’ only shows in Europe next year. However, the band said “plans are underway” for expanding the tour to other continents later next year.
The Gallagher brothers had been teasing the fans for a reunion on social media. The band was formed in 1991 and they emerged as one of the most popular acts on the Britpop scene. The band released its first album Definitely Maybe in 1994, which became the fastest-selling debut album in British music history and received a platinum certification in the U.S. (given to albums selling more than 1 million copies). The band was marred by several years of conflicts, which resulted in Oasis splitting in 2009, after Noel Gallagher’s exit. However, fans are loving it as they are back together.
