King Charles Skips Meet-Up With Andrew
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor received an unexpected private visitor at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate over the weekend, as King Charles attended church nearby but did not meet his brother amid ongoing fallout from Andrew’s recent arrest.
According to Hello Magazine, the King’s domestic chaplain, Reverend Canon Paul Williams, was seen driving into Wood Farm on Saturday night, where Andrew has been staying while his permanent home, Marsh Farm, undergoes renovations.
Hello reported that it remains unclear how long the vicar stayed or the reason for the visit, but the meeting came shortly before Reverend Williams led Sunday’s service at St Mary Magdalene church on the royal estate, which King Charles attended.
While Charles and his brother were in close proximity at Sandringham, the monarch’s movements come as royal experts assess the Palace’s strategy after Andrew’s arrest, with the King continuing public duties while avoiding direct contact.
Charles, 77, attended the service without Queen Camilla and wore a yellow ribbon in a nod to St David’s Day, with Hello noting that he has maintained a full schedule of engagements despite the renewed scrutiny surrounding Andrew.
